Midsomer Norton &
Radstock Cubs 'Outdoor' Weekend Twenty-eight Cubs from 1st Radstock and 1st Midsomer Norton Scout Groups spent the bank holiday weekend camping and taking part in a series of skill and fun activities in Radstock. The youngsters were introduced to new skills including semaphore signalling, orienteering, tracking, fire-lighting and cooking.
Keynsham Explorer Scouts “Project Africa” – Sponsored Climb Saturday 6th June 2009 at Bath Abbey On Saturday 6th June outside Bath Abbey there will be sponsored climb by members of the Keynsham Explorer Unit in aid of the project. Between them they hope to climb the height of Mount Kilimanjaro (4,600 metres). The climbing wall (operated by Vertical Xtreme www.verticalxtreme.co.uk) will also be available for members of the public to experience in return for a small donation. The whole event will be supervised by a team of qualified instructors. It has the support of Bath City Centre Management, the Bath Director of Tourism and the local Police. More...
