Wansdyke Web Forum

The Wansdyke Web Forum is now being tested. There is limited security, so please be careful in what you post (Especially in terms of Child Protection).

Anyone who would like to volunteer as a Moderator (must be aged over 18, with a Scout CRB), would be most welcome.

This tool allows members from across the District to communicate news, ideas and views. A user policy will be published shortly, but in the meantime, the administrator will monitor the Forum's use. If you see anything inappropriate, please contact the webmaster immediately.

What is a Forum

An Internet forum is a web application for holding discussions and posting user generated content. Internet forums are also commonly referred to as web forums, message boards, discussion boards, (electronic) discussion groups, discussion forums, bulletin boards, fora (the Latin plural) or simply forums. The terms "forum" and "board" may refer to the entire community or to a specific sub-forum dealing with a distinct topic. Messages within these sub-forums are then displayed either in chronological order or as threaded discussions. (see wikipedia for more information).

Membership Notes

Please note that when you create an account, it takes a short while for an administrator or moderator to be informed. If you are under 13, or if you are requesting access to secure newsgroups, then an administrator will need to confirm your identity and membership before you can be given access. This obviously creates a delay, so please do be patient. These measures are for child protection purposes. If you are not known to the webteam (i.e. not a warranted leader), it would be helpful if you could email your Leader, or Group Scout Leader who can confirm your identity.
